We present original art pieces and designs created by Karina Durant (Guantanamo, Cuba, 1985).

Karina earned a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and Journalism at the University of Havana, and pursued a career as art reporter while continuing graduate studies in graphic design and culture, in Cuba and in the United States, where she lives and works since 2014.

​

Her paintings and drawings explore the abstract world, valuing personal expression, freedom and spontaneity. She uses mixed media, color pouring and spatula techniques to create lines, textures and visual compositions... to approach human reflections, emotional distress and modernity concepts.

​

As major inspirations, she counts the artistic avant-gardes from the 20th century, poetry, architecture, fashion, and nature.
